Eight students from District 105 were honored recently by the West Suburban Consortium for Academic Excellence, a group of high-performing school districts. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss how these students will receive services during the 2013-2014 school year. For additional information, call Ms. Deborah Tyrrell, Director of Student Services, 708-482-2700.


1. Structured CONNECT Learning program – Families that prefer to have a Teacher Coach work with their child over the summer to support maintenance of skills in math and reading can select this option. Upon selecting this option, a District 105 certified staff member will be paired up with your child to practice reading and mathematics over the summer. The CONNECT Coach and your child will meet face-to-face a minimum of seven (7) times. Occasional connections via e-mail, phone, or post will occur over the summer as well.
2. Flexible CONNECT Learning program – Families that prefer to parent/student-guide learning over the summer can select this option. Upon selecting this option, families will receive a Common Core aligned workbook and additional support activities. There will be NO Teacher Coach associated with this option.
3. Independent CONNECT Learning program – Families that prefer to parent/student-guide the learning over the summer can select this option. Upon selecting this option, families will use their own resources along with the Summer Learning For All website. There will be no workbook provided for this option. Furthermore, there will be NO coach associated with this option.
